Introduction

AIIMS Patna took another leap in the healthcare with the inception of the Department of Cardiology on 23rd July 2018. With the mission to provide advanced and affordable healthcare, we started Catheterization lab services on 20th Sep 2019. The state of the art lab is equipped with modern equipment. The department also established coronary care unit (CCU) which started functioning from mid-February 2020. The CCU (C6B) is equipped with state of art monitors with central station, ICU beds, defibrillator, transcutaneous pacing and other equipment necessary for critical cardiac care. Department added OCT FFR and Rotablation system in the armamentarium of imaging based coronary angioplasties. We strive to provide best possible tertiary care & committed to maintain evidence based quality health care with patient safety.

Academic Courses Offered:

With approval from the Governing Body AIIMS Patna, department of Cardiology is starting post-doctoral Academic Course (DM Cardiology) from July 2023 for which three seats per year have been approved.
